I Also Need Support and Promotion as a Brand - MCee Flexal to "Entitled" Artists

In the vibrant world of the creative arts industry, mutual support and collaboration are often considered the pillars of success. Yet, amidst the rhythm of promotions and educational endeavors, a dissonant note emerges.

The Royal Mcee expressed his dissatisfaction with certain issues in the creative sector in the Volta Region on Facebook.

"As Elorm Beenie aka the Triple Deity is promoting the legend Israel Maweta and his new #AmenuveveAlbum ehhh, You never post about am even once but Elorm no complain say you no dey supportAnd as Jonilar is also doing his Digital Music Education Series and trying to educate Artistes on his page and things ehhh, you never ever post about am and Jonilar never complained. But as them no post your new song you vex dey call them out publicly in a very disrespectful way as if you are entitled to their support.Would you say you haven’t seen what they also do online? Would you say you don’t know that it would be beneficial to them if you post about them and their businesses on your page? Or only you deserve constant promotion and everyone owes you support? The entitlement thing dey vex me! But you issokay!!!

ME: Seems like na only them wey need push in this creative art industry…. Hand go hand come ooo, so if u no want support my brand and works, me too I never go support you. I am also a brand that needs support and push, get that in your skull."

It is important in the realm of promoting and supporting artists to embrace the concept of reciprocity. Instead of feeling entitled to support, we should acknowledge the value of mutual promotion and collaboration. By fostering a culture of collaboration and respect, we can build a stronger creative community where all artists receive the recognition they deserve. Let us shift our mindset from entitlement to reciprocity and work together to uplift and empower one another. I come in peace.
