Grammy Glory: Tyla's Grammy Win and Global Impact (VIDEO)

On Sunday, Tyla, the South African singer, clinched the Best African Music Performance award at the 2024 Grammy, surpassing tracks like Davido’s ‘Unavailable,’ Asake’s ‘Amapiano,’ Burna Boy’s ‘City Boys,’ and Ayra Starr’s ‘Rush.’

Her song, ‘Water,’ not only secured a top 10 spot in 16 countries, including the UK and the US but also achieved platinum status.
Overwhelmed with emotion after her victory, Tyla delivered a heartfelt speech. “Oh my! What the heck. I never thought I’d say I won a Grammy at 22 years old,” she proclaimed proudly.
“Last year God decided to change my whole life. I know I’m forgetting somethings but… I won a Grammy” she ended very excited.
Radiating elegance in a dazzling light green sequin gown, Tyla, a style icon, seamlessly blends music excellence with representing her heritage. With her debut album scheduled for March 1st, 2024, this newly-minted Grammy winner is poised to make lasting waves after already conquering music’s grandest stage.
The prestigious award ceremony took place at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles during the 66th Grammy Award Premiere Ceremony.
