Gbeje: The Rebranded African Artist Blending Dancehall and Reggae with Ewe Roots

Gbeje, previously known as Redda, is an artist hailing from Kpando, a municipality in the Volta Region of Ghana. With a background deeply rooted in reggae and dancehall, Gbeje's music is a fusion of Jamaican dancehall and hiphop-infused beats, incorporating the ewe language for a unique sound. He embraces dancehall and reggae culture without reservation.
During an interview with YayraOnline, Gbeje shared that the name change, originally intended for 2022, had been postponed due to other priorities which also affected the progress of music career. However, he has now completed the rebranding process and ready to release a new single called "Morkporkpor," which translates to "Hope" in Ewe.
Gbeje is not only a talented musician but also a versatile artist excelling in fashion design, sculpture, and farming. Drawing inspiration from artists like Chronixx, Kabaka Pyramid, The Marley Family, Yaksta, Akon, Lil Wayne, and Da Hammer, his work is influenced by a global array of artistic styles. Gbeje is currently open for bookings and collaborations, ready to bring his unique blend of music and creativity to new projects.
