It is the longest-running trend for a Ghanaian song on TikTok in 2023 and has received the most streams among Ghanaian songs during the same period. Additionally, "Goodsin" has topped various major music charts across the continent, reaching the number one position. The data analysis report, conducted by renowned music analytics companies Chartmetrics and Soundcharts, examined streaming metrics from January to June 2023 across platforms such as Spotify, Audiomack, TikTok, Boomplay, and YouTube.
While artists like King Promise with his song
"Terminator" and Stonebwoy with "Into the Future" have been
duly recognized, the most surprising development is the emergence of the
20-year-old newcomer Olivetheboy, who surpassed prominent figures such as Black
Sheriff, Gyakie, and award-winning singer KiDi. Not only was Olivetheboy
included in the list, but he also claimed the top spot. Other notable acts like
King Promise and Stonebwoy were also featured in the list, while Black Sheriff,
Gyakie, and KiDi were unfortunate to miss out on the top five, as stated in the
report.
Olivetheboy gained significant popularity in May 2023 after
releasing his breakthrough single, "Goodsin," which presently holds
the title of the most Shazamed song in Ghana and Nigeria. This track also holds
the record for the fastest achievement of ten million digital streams by a
rookie Ghanaian artist. Its rise to fame was fueled by a TikTok challenge
