Ghanaians Don't Acknowledge My Songwriting Abilities - Kelvyn Boy

Ghanaian musical sensation Kelvyn Brown, popularly known as Kelvynboy, has shared that he isn't particularly concerned when his fellow artists in the music industry don't recognize him as a notable songwriter. Speaking on an interview with Hitz fm's Andy Dosty on August 28, 2023, he addressed the question of how he responds to not being acknowledged among the prolific songwriters in the field.

Kelvynboy mentioned that he is aware that he doesn't hold a high priority among artists in Ghana. He recounted that when he initially entered the music scene, gaining recognition as a songwriter was a gradual process for him. He faced challenges and conflicts along the way but accepted that this was part of the journey.

He explained that when he's inspired to create a new song, he doesn't follow the conventional method of sitting down to write. Instead, he heads straight to the recording studio and lays down his songs. He emphasized his efficiency in the studio, mentioning that he can go for months without recording anything, but when he does enter the studio, he's capable of producing four high-quality songs in one session.

In addition, Kelvynboy shared that the longest time he has taken to write a song was two days. This showcases his ability to quickly translate his creative thoughts into music, reflecting his unique songwriting process.
