Lawyer Nti Opens Up On His Depression Struggle.

In a surprising revelation, 'Lawyer Nti,' the popular Ghanaian comedic actor known for his role in the TV series 'Kejetia vs Makola,' openly discussed his struggle with depression and his desperate attempt to seek help from a ritualist at one point.

Richmond Xavier Amoakoh, the real name of the actor, gained fame for his portrayal of a lawyer in 'Kejetia vs Makola.' He revealed that during a difficult period when he was grappling with deep depression, he turned to a ritualist for assistance. Despite his outwardly cheerful demeanor, 'Lawyer Nti' admitted that he carried a strong sense of stagnation and frustration in his life because he had set ambitious goals for himself but continuously failed to achieve them.

He said, "It all comes down to depression. I was constantly thinking about how I needed to progress in life. I had certain material expectations that didn't come to fruition despite my fame."

As a result, 'Lawyer Nti' felt compelled to seek guidance from various spiritualists, and this search eventually led him to the dwelling of a ritualist. He explained, "In life, when you feel like something is beyond your reach, you may take a step further. I ended up visiting a ritualist, hoping for some intervention to change my fortunes. However, I later realized that what I truly needed was a connection to my inner self and God, but before that realization, I strayed a bit."

He also shared the unexpected challenges of fame, revealing that while he made people laugh on screen, he would often go home and feel overwhelmed by emotions, leading to bouts of crying.

When asked about whether he visited traditional spiritualists and ritualists, 'Lawyer Nti' confirmed, "yes, something like that. It was just one or two occasions." His experience highlights that depression can affect individuals regardless of their social status and accomplishments, including celebrities.

During his intense battle with depression, he found solace in rediscovering and aligning himself with God, which eventually brought him back on track.

The comedic actor is currently making a comeback on the screens, but with a different approach to his craft. He has signed with the Lynx Entertainment label and is preparing to release his first project after the long break.
