Jim Iyke's Divorce Revelation.

Famous Nollywood actor and producer, Jim Iyke, has disclosed that he has been divorced and is the father of three children, but he has kept this aspect of his life private. During a recent interview on the show hosted by Nigerian TV personality, filmmaker, and media entrepreneur Chude, the acclaimed actor admitted that he became very emotional after his mother's death and lost focus on his relationship with his then-wife.

"I experienced a failed marriage, although it has remained unknown to the public. I have three children. I take responsibility for the failure of my marriage and I don't believe in blaming others for my mistakes. There is a saying, 'to become successful, one must take ownership.' Sometimes, I find it tempting to take the easy way out. Whenever I performed poorly in life, it was because I allowed my emotions to overpower me. I excel when I am deliberate and strategic in everything I do. Each time I failed, it was due to my emotional state. I became average, succumbing to the weaker side of my character that lacked emotional intelligence."

Jim Iyke mentioned that because of his deep bond with his mother, no one had the courage to inform him of her passing promptly.

"When my mother died, it took me years to regain my balance. I had lost a spiritual connection and a way of life. It took them 72 hours to break the news to me, just after I finished an interview in London. In every family, there is usually someone who delivers bad news. That person in our family refused to inform me because they believed there was a high chance that I wouldn't be able to handle it."

Jim Iyke acknowledged that he redirected the love he had for his mother towards his child.

"I lost my sense of humor, my strength, and my leadership qualities. I became completely consumed and neglected her. I poured all my love and attention into my son while leaving her behind. I became an exceptional father but a terrible husband. Our backgrounds were different; they didn't understand our ways. Eventually, she expressed that she couldn't recognize the person she had married, and we decided to part ways as friends," explained Jim Iyke.
