Artiste manager and entertainment pundit, Nana Asiamah Hanson, widely known as Bullgod, expressed his dissatisfaction with the fact that Ghanaian music duo, R2Bees, and singer Efya have a close relationship with Nigerian music star, Wizkid, but they do not share the spotlight with him on his international tours.
Bullgod took to Facebook on July 29 to question why R2Bees and Efya spend time with Wizkid whenever he visits Ghana but are not given the opportunity to showcase their talents on international stages alongside him.
He further expressed disappointment in how Ghanaian musicians are missing out on opportunities to promote their craft on significant international platforms. Bullgod highlighted that Nigerian music and artists have been increasing their global presence, as evident from Wizkid's recent successful concert at the 62,850-capacity Tottenham Stadium, where he delivered an electrifying musical experience.
The concert's success follows the achievement of Nigerian singer Burna Boy, who became the first African artist to sell out the 80,000-capacity Olympics stadium in London. Wizkid's performance also earned him the distinction of being the first African artist to sell out the 62,850-capacity Tottenham Stadium.
During the concert, Ghanaian artist King Promise, known for hits like "Terminator," delivered a captivating performance, while Nigerian artist Wande Coal wowed the audience with his popular songs "My Woman" and "Amorawa."
The event attracted prominent figures like Arsenal's winger, Bukayo Saka, Everton's Alex Iwobi, and Nigerian singer Seyi Vibes, who came out to support Wizkid, showing solidarity with their fellow artist.
