Kpando, The Hub Of Events This Festive Season.

Kpando, a municipality in the Volta Region of Ghana has become a home for events during the yuletide. The youth have organised a series of events including Street Jams, Pool parties, Fun trips among others. 

Events have officially begun on the 17th of December with artists like Jah Phinga and Keeny Ice headlining a huge concert at the sports stadium. They were supported by other amazing artists from Kpando and its environs.

For the Akpiniawo (as their popularly called), Christmas came early this year despite the state of the economy. They believe this is a way of bringing tourists and potential investors into the Municipality. They also believe this is the only way to ease the stress people are going through.

 After successfully enstooling a new king earlier this year after many unsuccessful attempts over the years, their joy knows no barrier as they go all out this festive season.

Hangout Night at Valley Gardens located off Abotoase-Nkonya road. You are invited to hangout and chill with old and new friends as we entertain you with music, drinks and extra fun on the 23rd of December, 2022

Worship & Praise, organized by Akpini Radio is on the 23rd of December, 2022. The event themed  ‘Sing To The Lord All The Earth; Proclaim His Salvation, Day After Day’ will take place in the forecourt of Akpini Radio at 5:00 PM. This is a non-denominational event so all churches and music groups are cordially invited.

Akpini Night Jamz will also happen on the 23rd of December, 2022 at Hidden Palace just behind the Sports Stadium. A lot of Artists will be passing through so make a date with them.

Level  Up located off Marquart – Zongo road hosts Drinks On Me Party on 24th December, 2022. Come and mingle with the big boys and boss chicks as they turn up the place in grand style.

Team DJ Orxty presents Volta Stand Up Pool Rave 3.0 on the 25th of December, 2022 at Delta 3Stars Hotel.

Kpando Konda For Development collaborates with United Projects for their 5TH Community Fun Games on the 26TH of December, 2022 at the Kpando Konda School park. Activities include electronic games, football matches, ludu game among other interesting activities. Among the dignitaries attending the event is Akpene (Konda representative in the Face of Akpini contest).

Kpando Torkor Youths For Development, Chairmans Lounge and Akpini Volunteers Collaborates with Kpando We Dey (a social group) for another fun trip to Gabikpo Island on the 26th December, 2022. This is the 4th edition so if you haven’t been to any of their trips, this is the one you don’t have to miss. The trip involves a boat cruise on the Volta Lake, beach soccer, beach photoshoot among other activities. The theme this year ‘Redefining Akpini  State Through Tourism’.

Borborbor Fest comes your way on the 26th December, 2022 at Kpando Agudzi. The theme for the event is ‘Fundraising For The Completion Of Staff Common Room At Kpando Agudzi Basic School’. Borborbor is the tradition dance for Kpando so on this day, various borborbor groups will be on rotation to grace the event.

Akpini Gang comes your way with another thrilling end of year party dubbed ‘The Drink Up Party’ at Hotor Hotel on the 28th of December. Akpini Gang has organized a series of successful events over the years with huge turn ups so expect nothing less but good music, lots of drinks and fun.

Kpando Fesi invites all and sundry to their annual Fez 28 street carnival which will be happening live on the 28th of December. It will power packed and an upgrade of the previous carnivals held. There will be a live band, street jams, borborbor among other activities. 

Concerned Sovie Youths presents Borborbor Festival on the 30th of December, 2022 at the Yaw Nyarku Park, Sovie. The theme for the event is ‘Unity And Development For The Youth’. Come and witness real Kpando borborbor in grand style like never before coupled with other activities like face painting, exciting fun games, free photoshoots just to mention few. 

The grand finale of the Face Of Akpini comes your way at the sports stadium on the 30th of December, 2022.  The event which started a few months ago is about to crown a befitting  queen. They have embarked on series of events and tasks through which some were evicted while others were evicted due to low votes. The event will be graced with the presence of prolific artists like Israel Nanevi Maweta and Chief One, the latest sensation. You are cordially invited.

Kpando Is Our Home annual concert comes off on the 1st of January, 2023 at the main Lorry Station  at 6:00 PM. This year’s event is themed ‘Talents, Not Drugs’. This happens to be the first event in the year  filled with performance from various artists from home and the neighboring towns. Come and witness greatness of the Akpiniawo from a different point of view.

Akpini 2ND  Street Carnival comes your way this year at Dzogbesianti popularly known as Dzoanti. This year’s event is themed ‘mobilising Resources For Local Development’. This is their 5th edition and they promise nothing but loads of fun.

Just as you thought the party will be over, UK City Entertainment comes up with the biggest clash of the season dubbed 'Clash Night With DJs' at Level Up Pub on the 7TH of January, 2022. Various DJs from Kpando and its environs will be on rotation to battle for supremacy. Come and support your favorite DJ as he rocks the party.
