According to Mr. Logic, who played a pivotal role in organizing the Bass Awards in the past, he took the initiative to revive the awards after realizing that the original organizers had abandoned the project. "I've been keeping an eye on the Bass Awards organizers, and when one of them, Stip, made a post, I knew it was time to act.
I've always had this idea in mind, considering I was part of the Bass Awards' foundation," he explained. Mr. Logic expressed his intention to ensure the awards are not just a reunion of industry friends but include individuals with technical expertise in reggae and dancehall music. He announced plans for the launch in July, followed by the main awards ceremony in November 2024.
