Honoring the Legacy of Mr. Ibu: A Nollywood Comedy Maestro

John Ikechukwu Okafor, fondly known as Mr. Ibu, transcended his role as an actor, becoming a beacon of laughter and a cherished figure in the Nigerian entertainment realm. On March 2, 2024, at the age of 62, his departure left an irreplaceable void, resonating deeply within the hearts of fans, colleagues, and the entire Nollywood community.

November 2023 witnessed the amputation of one of his legs, a decision taken to prolong his life. His family faced additional turmoil when his son and adopted daughter were arrested for allegedly misusing funds meant for his treatment. Though some money was recovered, the emotional toll on the family was profound.
