Joeboy Exits EmPawa, Launches Young Legend Label and Partners with Warner Music for Global Expansion

Warner Music has confirmed that Joeboy, the Nigerian singer-songwriter, has inked a worldwide distribution deal with them and also launched his own record label, Young Legend. The focus of the record label is to promote budding musicians, and Joeboy is taking charge as the CEO while Deola Jaiyesimi is appointed as the Head of the Label. In the subsequent weeks, a string of music camps will be organized in Lagos, London, and Los Angeles to cement the partnership between Warner Music and Young Legend. New music from the Young Legend roster is expected to hit the market in the next few months.
Joeboy, whose real name is Joseph Akinfenwa-Donus, started his career in 2017 with Mr Eazi's emPawa Africa. He has released several hits, such as ‘Baby’, ‘Beginning’, ‘Sip (Alcohol)’ among other global hits, and the albums Somewhere Between Beauty & Magic and Body & Soul.
