Kojo Antwi Bids Farewell To National Theatre.

Renowned maestro of Highlife melodies, Kojo Antwi, has gracefully concluded his artistic showcases at the esteemed National Theatre.

In bygone eras, the National Theatre stood as the central stage for Kojo Antwi's annual December 24 extravaganza.

However, divulging his thoughts in an exclusive dialogue with Nana Adwoa Annan on Onua TV, the Highlife luminary declared his irrevocable retirement from gracing the iconic venue with his performances.

The 'Afafranto' virtuoso expounded that the National Theatre, once an impeccable setting for his concerts, no longer harmonizes with the lofty artistic ambitions he currently harbors.

Reflecting on the beguiling intimacy of the National Theatre during his formative years, the erstwhile President of GHAMRO underscored that his artistic metamorphosis necessitated a more opulent stage.

"The locale has regrettably deviated from its theatrical essence... maintaining its grandeur has become an arduous task for the custodians of the theatre... and as an artist, I don't confine myself to a specific venue... I realized that the venue was impeding my artistic growth. Nevertheless, an artist is not confined to a singular space... Every endeavor within those walls was an ode to the divine," articulated Kojo Antwi. Watch interview on YouTube
