Mr. Drew is Yet to Pay Me For Writing 80% of 'Case' -Kuami Eugene

Ghanaian highlife musician Kuami Eugene expressed his dissatisfaction with Mr. Drew for not fulfilling his financial commitment despite Kuami Eugene's significant contribution to Mr. Drew's song, 'Case.' Kuami Eugene revealed that he had written the entire hook and a portion of the second verse, essentially composing about 80 percent of the song. He shared this information during a TikTok Live conversation with vlogger Naana Donkor Arthur.

Kuami Eugene clarified that he often writes songs for other artists when he believes a particular song aligns better with their style, as he cannot sing all the songs he produces. He mentioned that while he usually gets paid for his songwriting services, Mr. Drew had not compensated him for his contribution to "Case." However, he expressed his desire to address the matter amicably.

Despite the song gaining popularity in the market, Kuami Eugene emphasized his intention to resolve the issue with Mr. Drew, emphasizing their brotherly relationship. He mentioned that he could potentially pursue a legal case but preferred a peaceful resolution. Kuami Eugene suggested that Mr. Drew could resolve the matter by providing a split sheet. He also pointed out that the only parts of the song he didn't write were Strongman and Sista Afia's verses, as well as Morphty's verse on the remix.

Kuami Eugene, who is signed to Lynx Entertainment, is recognized for writing songs for various artists, including Kuame Yogot, Keche, and MzVee. He also mentioned that he penned Joyce Blessing's newly released song, 'Victory.'
