Akwaboah Snr. Goes Home, All Sympathizers Are Cordially Invited.

The esteemed figure of highlife music, the late Kwadwo Akwaboah, widely recognized as Akwaboah Snr., is set to be honored with a series of ceremonies to mark his final journey. The program encompasses a wake-keeping event scheduled for September 29th, with his body to be displayed on September 30th in Trede, located in the Ashanti Region. 

The primary burial service will take place at Heroes Park within the Kumasi Sports Stadium, followed by his interment in Trede. A Thanksgiving service on October 1st will commemorate his life and contributions to the world of music. Akwaboah Jnr., his son, has extended invitations to prominent musicians to participate in this heartfelt tribute. 

Kwadwo Akwaboah's musical legacy continues to resonate in the hearts of music enthusiasts, making these ceremonies a fitting homage to his timeless melodies and soul-stirring compositions. He is fondly remembered for his popular songs such as "Awerɛkyekyerɛ," "Hini Me," and many others. Kwadwo Akwaboah's passing on May 16, 2023, marked the end of an era in highlife music, leaving behind an enduring legacy that will be celebrated during these ceremonies.
