Ghanaian Dancehall sensation Shatta Wale has thrown his support behind Fameye following the latter's expression of disappointment about the insufficient backing Ghanaian artists receive from their compatriots abroad.
During an appearance on "Day Show with Berla Mundi," Fameye expressed his disillusionment with the turnout at his UK concert, attributing the lack of support to Ghanaians in the music diaspora.
Shatta Wale, in response, urged his fans to applaud Fameye, suggesting that if he hadn't, he might have been accused of harboring resentment towards fellow artists. Shatta Wale further emphasized this sentiment in another post, where he also called out certain prominent artists. He mentioned that the music industry could make significant strides if five of these artists collaborated to address the challenges they face.
However, Shatta Wale's remarks stirred a wave of criticism from fellow industry figures, who accused him of undermining his colleagues instead of uplifting them.
