According to Akon, the Senegalese-American singer, Nigerians are considered the most intelligent people globally. He expressed this viewpoint during an interview on the Drink Champs podcast, hosted by N.O.R.E and DJ EFN, sparking discussions online.
Akon claimed that Nigeria produces more billionaires than any other place in the world. However, he acknowledged that a few individuals with negative intentions have tainted the country's reputation.
He stated, "This might be subject to debate, but in my opinion, Nigerians are the most intelligent people on Earth. I can assure you, there is no one smarter than a Nigerian. Granted, there are a few bad apples among them who have misused their intelligence. If they redirected their intelligence towards more positive and productive endeavors... Because those who did, Nigeria has witnessed the rise of more billionaires than anywhere else in the world."
Akon, known for his hit songs like 'Sorry Blame It On Me' 'Lonely,' and 'Pot Of Gold' has previously announced his ambitious plans to construct a futuristic "100 percent crypto-based city" on a vast 2,000-acre land. Like many globally renowned artists, he seems to be reconnecting with his African heritage.
