Jonathan Nii Laryea, the Country Director for Omziki Distribution in Uganda, is organizing a nationwide digital music seminar to enhance the knowledge and skills of musicians, producers, and other stakeholders in the music industry.
The seminar will cover essential topics such as promotion, marketing, branding, government policies, and strategies for breaking into the mainstream music scene. The initiative was inspired by the overwhelming response to their Digital Music Education Series podcast, which reached a wide audience in Ghana and beyond.
The inaugural Digital Music Education Seminar is scheduled for July 26th, 2023, at the Jasikan Municipal Assembly Hall. The event is organized by Jonilar.net and Digishare Africa, with support from organizations like Champs Hub Ghana, ShuggaCreative, and the Office of the Member of Parliament for Buem Constituency, Honorable Kofi Iddie Adams.
Attendees will have the opportunity to network, exchange ideas, and gain practical knowledge to advance their careers and businesses. The sessions cover digital distribution, monetization strategies, copyright and licensing, effective marketing and branding techniques, and navigating complexities of government policies in the creative arts sector.
