Ayra Star, Burna Boy, Tems, Black Sherif, Zuchu and Musa Keys Have Made It To 2022 MTV Europe Music Awards (MTV EMAs) Nominations List.

Started in 1994, MTV Europe Music Awards celebrate the best music of the year and the biggest artists from around the world. This year marks the sixth time the awards are heading to Germany where the event will broadcast live on MTV in more than 170 countries.

Representing Africa this year for the 2022 MTV Europe Music Awards (MTV EMAs) in the Best African Act category are Black Sherif (Ghana), Zuchu (Tanzania) Musa Keys (South Africa), Ayra Star (Nigeria), Burna Boy (Nigeria) and Tems (Nigeria) leading the African reps with an additional nomination in the Best New Act category. The event will be held at the PSD Bank Dome Düsseldorf, Germany, on 13 November 2022.

Harry Styles holds the highest nominations with seven slots followed by Taylor Swift with six. Nicki Minaj and ROSALÍA have five nominations each.
